The roadmap of Bitcoin SV is a plan outlining the development and progress of the Bitcoin SV blockchain network.

Phase 1: Genesis

The first phase of the roadmap, called Genesis, was
completed in February 2020. This phase focused on restoring the original Bitcoin protocol and creating a stable foundation for future development. The key objectives of this phase were to:

  • Remove arbitrary limits on block size, opcodes, and script size

  • Restore missing opcodes and functionality from the original Bitcoin protocol

  • Maintain stability and security of the network

Phase 2: Evolution

The second phase of the roadmap, called Evolution, is
currently underway and is expected to be completed by 2022. This phase focuses on building out the capabilities of the Bitcoin SV network and expanding its use cases. The key objectives of this phase include:

  • Supporting enterprise-level applications 
  • Enhancing scalability and transaction throughput
  • Expanding tokenization capabilities and smart contract functionality
  • Increasing user adoption and improving the user experience

Phase 3: Metanet

The third and final phase of the Bitcoin SV roadmap is called Metanet, and it is currently in the planning stages. This phase is expected to focus on creating a global network of data that is secured by the Bitcoin SV blockchain. The key
objectives of this phase include:

 

  • Enabling secure, permissionless access to data
  • Creating a decentralized internet that is owned by its users
  • Supporting machine-to-machine transactions and IoT applications
  • Revolutionizing the way we think about and use the internet
  • Overall, the Bitcoin SV roadmap is focused on building a scalable, secure, and decentralized blockchain network that can support a wide range of use cases and applications.
